We put hope into action by delivering 109,000 units of life-changing service to more than 55,000 members of our community. But to keep this promise, we need your help.

A Growing Need in Our Community

The landscape of dementia is changing rapidly. By 2050, 1.7 million Canadians will be living with this diagnosis. Here in the Peel Region, we expect a 42% increase in cases in just the next eight years. Despite this, the everyday hands-on support that families most rely on remains the most underfunded area of healthcare. We turn to our donors to bridge this gap, ensuring that as the need grows, our community’s resilience grows with it.

Gift of Securities

Donating securities (stocks, mutual funds) to the Alzheimer Society is a tax-efficient way to give, as you avoid capital gains tax and receive a receipt for the fair market value, which makes your donation go further to provide support and services to Persons Living with Dementia and their Care Partners. The process involves completing a Transfer Intent Form and working with your financial advisor to transfer the securities directly to the Society's brokerage account to ensure tax benefits.
